Allamanda, Allamanda cathartica

Large golden trumpets cover allamandas from April through November.  They can be trained as a shrub or a vine.
Allamandas are planted around the base of a Southern magnolia.  They can be seen popping up above the dwarf ilex.

Brown bud allamandas are a popular variety.  They have larger flowers and brown furry buds.
