Crape Myrtle, Lagerstroemia indica
Pink crape myrtle is the'Tuscarora' cultivar.  Popular with good reason.  Crape myrtle is a smaller tree displaying vibrant flowers and patterned bark.  They lose all their foliage in the winter.
Crape myrtle 'Muskogee' are planted in a row to provide a burst of lavender color above the hedge.
Add crape myrtle trees to break the monotony of a long hedge.
The white flowering crape myrtle is another favorite.  They are called crape myrtle 'Natchez'.
