East Paltka Holly, Ilex x attenuata

New varieties of east palatka holly are more resistant to the fungus Witch's Broom which has recently decimated the holly population in Florida.  East palatka holly is an ideal small tree in a formal setting.
The holly's red berries are a prized feature of this evergreen tree.  Trees are often planted in the center of hedges to give a full, robust appearance.
Holly foliage can be sheared into a variety of shapes like the eggs shown here.
