Ginger, Variegated, Alpinia zerumbet
Variegated shell ginger does well in full sun and partial shade. Keep soil moist to keep the leaf margins from browning. Often they can be seen planted next to ixoras to give the attractive red, yellow contrast.

Variegated ginger can reach heights of up to six feet. A mass planting grows below large oak trees.
The upright growth habit of the variegated ginger make it a nice an effective plant.
