Jatropha, Jatropha integerrima
Jatropha is considered a large bush but may be trained as small tree.  Popular on the keys, they are tolerant to most soil types, but not salt spray.

There are not many plants that can be grown as small trees with red flowers almost all year.   Much like the oleander, jatropha is a poisonous plant, so don't toss the leaves in a salad.
