Silver Buttonwood, Conocarpus erectus
The silver buttonwood is the silver cultivar of the green buttonwood.  They are in the same family as mangroves and do well in both wet and dry soils and are salt tolerant.  The attractive shrub can be easily trained into tree form to have a beautiful silver tree.

Showy silver buttonwoods are often used near the bay like these planted at Siesta key beach.

Silver buttonwood can be sheared into a formal hedge.  Consider purple colored plants in front of the silver backdrop the buttonwood provides.
